One point of discussion in the house is whether they should sell the old house and make way for a tower where they can all be accommodated in separate flats. The family is close knit and bound together by values.
Their younger son Bal (Bal Karve) and his wife Shalini (Amita Khopkar) have two daughters -Latika and Kalika. The patriarch of the family Anna (Sudhir Joshi) is an ex-freedom fighter and likes to write letters to the editor demanding a ban on nuclear weapons.
